TV channels in Italy

What follows is a list of tv channels frequencies in Italy, as of spring 2024.
All tv broadcasts are digital, using the European standard DVB-T/MPEG4 (for all channels, both in SD and HD).
The transition from analog to digital television started in October 2008 and was completed in July 2012.
Channels 61-69 (790 - 862 MHz) were used by tv stations until circa 2013, then these frequencies were assigned to 4G portable phones.
Channels 50-60 (702 - 782 MHz) were used by tv stations until the beginning of 2021, then these frequencies were assigned to 5G portable phones.
From August 2024 tv stations will begin migrating to the DVB-T2/H265 HEVC standard.
